Video: [[Beatrice-Raws]](https://nyaa.iss.one/view/943070)
Audio: QAAC encode of [[Beatrice-Raws]](https://nyaa.iss.one/view/943070) (stereo). Only the last song (credits song) is spliced with its English version.
Subs: Funimation and LN base. Edited, timed, typesetted.
I made this release primarily for my parents, so there's no senpais, onee-chans, or untranslated first-person pronouns in this release. I apologize if that's not your preference. Feel free to make your own release using these subs as base.
Anyway, I like this release way more than the official release, for lots of different reasons. I hope you do, too. Thank you for downloading.
All components of this release are released into the public domain to the [greatest extent possible](https://gist.github.com/motbob/9a85edadca33c7b8a3bb4de23396d510).
I edited the English lyrics in, and attempted to time it correctly. Thanks for the release matbob: https://mega.nz/#!QBJnyapI!y2a5Tq_PlQJbYj0x-I9VxWd0zO3wWUAUuCrk3ZMj3zo
@Hayato: Decrypted UHD Blu-rays are still extremely rare, there's only one scene group (TERMiNAL) doing them and I'd be surprised if their next release was this. I wouldn't hold my breath for 4K.
@Mabby: It's really useful to learn how to use [mkvmerge](https://mkvtoolnix.download/downloads.html#windows), which will let you do all kinds of useful things including muxing 5.1 audio in.
I think [Beatrice-Raws](https://nyaa.iss.one/view/943070) had stand-alone 5.1 audio as part of their torrent, which you can mux in (as well as muxing the stereo audio out).
@synsynack I wanted the final title cut to fade out to a perfectly clear screen of sky, w/o subtitles, since that's what the lyrics are about--"It's never been so clear."
Hey can someone help me? So I have the MKV file of the movie and I want to use the subtitles of this post. How can I do that? I am not the best with computers :\
@animenoob, I don't know how to explain it simply... you need to use "mkvtoolnix-gui" from https://mkvtoolnix.download/downloads.html#windows and add the subtitles + fonts to the mkv. I don't know if there's a guide that can show you how...
I think you could probably also install all the fonts on your computer and then open the .mkv in MPC-HC and select the subtitles file (the .ass file) with this: http://i.imgur.com/wwCAmGv.png
@motbob Thank you I did the second suggestion and its working. But I didn't install the fonts, or atleast I don't think I did. How do I install them? Sorry if this is frustrating to hear someone so dumb with computers.
@animenoob, I think you can just extract the fonts, highlight them all, right click, and select "install." BTW, you can watch the movie without fonts, but all the typesetting will probably look broken.
@motbob I did everything you said and its working perfectly! Thank you so much for your hard work on this sub. I'm really excited to show this anime off. Thank you.
There is no separate 720p sub file. I tried to make one and got frustrated and quit. Instead I just applied the 1080p subs to the 1080p video and downscaled afterwards.
But I've talked again and again about MKVtoolnix/MKVmerge in this thread, and one of the things that program lets you do is easily swap out audio tracks.
I'd like to ask about the difference between this torrent and this torrent: #942074
Why is yours only about one-fourth of the other? I'm sorry if I sound too ignorant.
Also, great upload! I love the sub in general! Going to keep seeding until whenever :)
942074 uses the video straight from the BD. But the conventional wisdom is that the video on the BD is way bloated for watching purposes and may be reencoded and compressed without affecting the experience. Video that is straight from the BD is not really meant to be used for watching at all; rather, it's a source for people to make their own, smaller encodes to release to the public.
I need the CRC or MD5 of the original file (the file you encoded) to compare with the file that I will get at the end of the downloading to see if it was not corrupted.
Just FYI, if you're using torrents to download, checking CRC is not necessary since the torrent protocol has its own file integrity check. The CRC is C5AB32C0 though.
This is the best version of the movie on here, thank you for this. However, could you possibly upload one with the japanese credit song instead? Then this would be perfect.
In the subs a lot of words that end in "ing" are contracted to " in' ". Is this just a preference that reads more conversationally, or is there something about the dialect of the Itomori region?
can someone who has downloaded the movie please tell me whether it has English words along with Japanese written words like here in 1st image https://ibb.co/CP0WGzs or it is just in Japanese like here in 2nd image https://ibb.co/hM9W2k3 ?
also, can you please add Hindi Track in it? it was not officially dubbed in Hindi but was done unofficially by animetm dubbers - https://www.animetmdubbers.com/2017/06/kimi-no-na-wa-your-name-movie-hindi.html
