Very lazy encode for this one but every other source looked awful. I'm aware there are parts of this that could use more work but the DVD compression makes it annoying to get rid of all of the issues without scenefiltering and im just not up to doing that. Subs are Niizk with minor timing fixes to the TS. Their rip was a TV cap and did not include the extra preview section from the DVD so I added in the subs from Exiled Destiny and changed styling to be consistent. Audio is DVD PCM converted to flac https://slow.pics/c/B9mFJU06 Enjoy If you would like notifications on when new releases come out consider joining the discord First cour of gintama might be releasing this weekend

THANK YOU REZA
Thank you. I enjoyed this.
Thanks for doing this! Was porting Niizk's subs to VCB raws earlier this week, but ran into an issue (had double-looped previews for some reason)

I ran into the same issue myself as well, but exiled destiny had all of both previews, so I used their timing for the part that was missing and shifted Niizk's subs forward a bit
Why is the audio not opus? How are people supposed to store this bloated nonsense on their floppy disks now, huh? I bet you can't even ABX...

I don't make the audio opus because I don't want my releases to be as accessible for indian downloaders
~~Indian~~ Pajeet detected
Lol best answer ever, opus is for indians

"purposely making my release worse to own some third worlders living in my head" - Reza27

not sure how you considering using lossless audio making a worse release when you can just encode the audio yourself anyways. caring that much about the space taken up by audio is literally only a problem for people with shitty internet as far as I'm concerned

You could further bloat the video at the same size if you would just use lossy transparent audio with a lossy video encode. It's dumb seeing 70% video while you yourself say "I would like to have made the video quality better but the size is already pretty large so I chose not to bloat it more."
The viewer could also encode the video themselves. Sadly that's a lot harder to do, and without releasing scripts the encode will stay at its current quality forever.

well I don't have any complaints about the compression in this release, my only issue is that im not willing to scenefilter it. you must be thinking of haganai which already had a 1.7 gig video track for a mostly Sol anime. also wave my scripts for all released shows are publicly available already. this particular script I wrote in like half an hour at 3am while drunk on voice chat with a friend. if you wanna make a better encode feel free to do so
