Ok, so this is our first 4K release. We probably need to revise our release strategy for this so be kind as we learn as we go. Some facts:
- This is a remux, in this instance meaning we pulled the movie as-is off the 4K disk. It was not re-encoded.
- As some of the primary players people use these days cannot handle SSA in-client and will even attempt to transcode HDR video (a nightmare of a processor hit and extremely slow and damaging), we've provided our first PGS sub. We did our best with this, it's still a learning process and we had to pare down a lot of the formatting niceties to get it to look acceptable.
- The original SSA track is also included if your client can handle it.
- As with the 1080p release, this is based off of XIG's sub of the movie. Content-wise, it is almost identical to our original scrub, no major changes.
It's weird seeing a remux with x256 in the file name cuz sometimes x265/x264 is used for encodes/webrips. On the other hand, HEVC/AVC is used in remux.
It should be:
> Kamen.Rider.VS.Shocker.1972.UHD.BluRay.2160p.PCM.2.0.HEVC.REMUX-NonActionableFansubs.mkv
Or
> Kamen.Rider.VS.Shocker.1972.2160p.BluRay.REMUX.HEVC.HDR.PCM.2.0-NonActionableFansubs.mkv
But you do you guys.
