The rip is not without flaws, but in terms of the safety of small details, it is better than even 1080p rips. This can be seen especially well in the fifth comparison of screenshots - part of the hieroglyphs on the inscription above the phone can be made out only in this rip (in the FroZen-EviL rip, some can also be seen, but worse).
P.S.: DVD Extra (recording and interview sessions) come with english subtitles (soft-sub). Thanks, FroZen-EviL for release, and those who save this to seed, and Shinta for shed light on the existence of this rare additional material.
@H1mik,
And how long will the pictures be stored there? Because I used to use the "screenshotcomparison.com" a lot in the past (аlso a free site for comparing pictures). But after a few months they delete the pictures.
And on "imgur" pictures will be stored for a very long time.
@Makrel
Hi mate. You have done incredible job with these series.
Ratio size/quality is very good an the level of details is unparalleled.
Do you think you could do Yawara in 1440x1080p resolution trying to preserve all the beauty contained on Bluray disks while staying under 70GB.
I understand it is a big task and with crf=17.5 it may take a year even.
I am asking is cause I can't find any decent FullHD encode reasonably sized despite the popularity of the show, lots and lots of 720p though, quite puzzling.
Anyway, thanks for all the hard work buddy. Let us know what you think.
@benus
Tried to encode the first series - with good quality at crf = 20.5 rip in 1080p will be the size of 45-50 GB. In crf=17.5 - will be just about 65-70 GB, ie within 70GB.
But with such a noisy source I don't see much point in crf=17.5. The difference with crf=20.5 in final quality is insignificant. Especially compared to the differences from Centaurea-Raws and Moozzi2 rips.
But the level of very small details comes out a little worse than in 720p. Unfortunately I don't remember how I achieved such a result then T__T.
Plus BD sources were not available for a long time, and I deleted mine, so I couldn't even try it. But now disks 1 and 3 are available. So theoretically I can make them. But I'm not sure I'll do it yet.
Here are the comparisons of the first series I've done now:
