FFF's encode might be the best of what is available. i remember doing a comparison of an episode from FFF to that of Zero-Raws. there was one scene where FFF better handled ghosting but FFF had artifacts in a few frames following that. i concluded that FFF had better encoder compared to Zero-Raws. well it's not the best way of determining but anyways FFF encode by itself does have a few issues. now that vod site does offer giant killing but there is no episode available for free so i can't compare. but i have a hunch it might be better. it might also not have channel logo. btw do you pay for the episodes or there is a way around the paywall. also a heads-up, i was watching the first episode of kochikame a little bit, the audio in the OP stammers a little bit.

Just an FYI, the patch for some reason won't patch starting with: 345 THE FINAL, 066.5 SP CH1, etc. Just the last 25 items in the .bat file, it says "The system cannot find the file specified." It worked absolutely fine for the 348 files before it but not the last 25. I even tried to re-run it with just those 25 things and it still gives an error.

How does the new episode order work? I applied the patch, but now it seems like there are a bunch of regular episodes missing. I thought you were only missing some specials? The new order has an "x-1" and "x-2" episode type of numbering, but why are these put after certain episodes? I'm so confused and have no idea which one is which episode. So far I noticed that the episode you labled as ep 345 in the old order and ep 374 in the new order is actually the tv special from 2016.

Wikipedia says a total of 373 regular episodes and 9 special episode thus 382 episodes. i might have to bookmark this page xD well anyway regarding “compressing” it further to reduce size, i honestly can’t suggest optimal settings. Do a couple of episodes and see how quality comes out and then tweak settings to see for yourself. Yes one advice i can give is this, don’t use x265 as codec in handbrake as it will take relatively a lot of time to encode to same quality compared to x264. Use x264 in handbrake settings. Regarding any missing episodes/specials, i can’t say for sure which ones are missing. I don’t understand japanese so matching title cards to episode titles was a lot of work. I used to have a full animax spanish TVRip torrent with me before kyuuki’s version showed up. After comparing the two i kept the following two with me because i couldn’t locate them in kyuuki’s version, deleted the rest of spanish files. Kochikame Especial 1 - ¡Sobrevive como puedas! -[57321E58].avi Kochikame Especial 4 - Pulso de Tokiotas -[0943B968].avi A reencode of this spanish tvrip was shared in ATTKC server. If any more are missing maybe they can be taken from there. Now i have some hSa files too, i didn’t delete them because i think i got tired comparing. I recall the episode numbers among these releases didn’t match and i got tired doing all matching and left it there. All the comparing was done using the pre-patched files since i had already started before kyuuki posted his patch. After looking at Chytharo’s comment i decided to not patch. Maybe i will restart comparing if i have more time. Just sharing some of my experience. ;)

Really i do appreciate what you did. Honestly at this point all these episode listings look kinda messy. FujiTV’s vod service says 15 specials lol. Have a look at this FujiTV SP1 is three part special listed as SP1-1, SP1-2, SP1-3 Corresponding wikipedia entries are 34, 36, 37 in both the japanese and english wikipedias as regular episodes. Total count of episodes in english wikipedia - 382 including 9 specials, japanese wikipedia - 380 including 9 specials, fod - 359 including 15 specials. I will wish you best of luck in your endeavour. Please do share among us kochikame fans which episodes to get from the spanish torrent. I know you were expecting my participation but unfortunately i have too much stuff going on in my life atm and for the foreseeable future.

Yes, it is confusing, I don't get why Kochikame is a big deal to get despite its popularity. The sequence of the special episodes seems like we can't get it right unless the official source is not found. So, we should follow @kyuuki here as this torrent episodes (after applying the patch ) are corresponding (almost) with the English Wikipedia's list. I will let you know if I can fetch the missing episodes from the Spanish version.

It was originally aired after a block of episodes were broadcasted as a marathon and has not been re-aired since, added to a web stream or as part of an extra bonus on a dvd/bluray set.$ - =Eps 208 and 209 are part of a special (special 9)= - missing - Ep 256 is actually the 2nd half of Ep 255 - so rename episode 255 as episode 255+256 - Ep 220 - Ep 221 is mislabeled and needs to be renamed Ep 220, and all subsequent episodes thereafter are mislabeled by +1 all the way through episode 336. Hey, hi! The filenames in mega are a bit different. Use a batch renamer to first remove 12 characters from the end of filenames and 8 characters from the beginning. Create a folder "Kochira Katsushikaku Kameari Kouenmae Hashutsujo TV 1-344 + Movies + Specials" and put all files in this folder. Create a folder "Movies" inside "Kochira Katsushikaku Kameari Kouenmae Hashutsujo TV 1-344 + Movies + Specials" and move the two movies in this newly created folder. Download .torrent by clicking "Download Torrent" at the top of this page. Open downloaded .torrent file in a torrent client and add it. Stop the torrent and delete the files/folders it downloaded. The directory where the torrent files will be downloaded / seeded from, move the "Kochira Katsushikaku Kameari Kouenmae Hashutsujo TV 1-344 + Movies + Specials" folder that has the mega-downloaded files there. Dunno if anyone is actually interested anymore, however I am going through and renaming the episodes according to thetvdb listing (341 episodes 30 specials) along with the actual title name in japanese (I know japanese). I can confirm a lot more is missing then stated. I am not done yet, but as it stands there is S00E04-18 so (SP1-SP15), and S00E30 (SP27). I am currently going through all the episodes, of which I have 344 left, of which only 341 are listed as episodes, you I can conclude I will come across 3 more specials. Once done If anyone wants me to upload a newly created one with the correct missing information let me know. Again, I know japanese and am using the Japanese episode headers in relation to the japanese names of episodes to match correctly. I AM NOT using english to match, and am renaming the episodes with their japanese correct name.

BTW I forgot that the 2 movies were included, so according to https://www.thetvdb.com/series/kochikame (which shows episode 3 missing in specials, and has a duplicate entry for SP27) there should be 2 movies, and 27 specials. This torrent most likely (again im renaming the 344 episodes now, which should go to 341) contains all 341 episodes, 2 movies, and 18 specials, of which 9 specials total would be missing. If nothing else I'll post the missing specials here once I finish crossreferencing.

are you technically capable enough to create a renaming script (simple bat or sh will do) or an xdelta patch from Taku files to your files? it would be great if you could do this. looking forward to the missing specials.

@HisokaRyodan when you have the missing specials can you please post them or say from where you get them, i can not find them. FOD has now the first 15 specials to so a better rip can be made, my specials are from amazon with screen capure.

@Alonso9825 from FOD is FujiTV On Demand from the website can be made with proxy vps and you need to buy the episodes in packs from there.

Hi sameer got WEB-DL uploading right now to MEGA you can fine some uploaded files, upload complete in 12H. MEGA will have SP1-15 and missing SP9, fixed episode 179 and movies in 720p. Will use the torrent episode order the patch made to many errors. The episode order from the torrent is right TV episodes have full numbers and SP episodes have xxx.5 to put them in the right place.
